Comparison of Prices Between
Normal and Pre-fabricated Steel Buildings

The prices of normal steel buildings are usually
dependent on the price of steel at that particular
time. The prices of these steel buildings generally
range from $6 to $20 per square feet for buildings
of a standard size. This price can include
construction, transportation, foundation and
building materials and is dependent on the terms and
conditions formed by contractors. For pre-fabricated
steel buildings the prices are always much lower.
You can always calculate the estimated price of
normal steel buildings during the pre-planning stage
of the construction of the project. You will realize
that prices vary to a great extent in terms of the
building area. Generally, most standard steel
building prices are not inclusive of extra and added
features that are optional and very expensive.
Pre-fabricated steel buildings do not experience any
price fluctuations in this regard and are thus more
beneficial. They are also re-locatable and
dismantable apart from being cost-effective.
For normal steel buildings, the sheeting prices of
colored roofs range from $175 to $1300 in terms of
the size of the building. If you wish to enrich roof
and wall insulation, then you have to spend around
$795 to $5000 with respect to the area of the steel
building. For pre-fabricated steel buildings this
cost will be lesser since these features are
included before the selling of the building.
The prices of normal steel buildings experience a
hike to almost $40 per square feet for a complex and
detailed designing with an exterior finishing of
brick. For normal steel building construction, the
labor charges are hourly based. With increasing
complexity in the construction, there will be a
simultaneous increase in the cost of labor as well.
On the other hand, for pre-fabricated steel
buildings there is hardly any labor cost involved
since there is no requirement to hire any labor to
construct such easy to lay buildings. |
